Sweep of the Heart is the fifth book in the Innkeeper Chronicles series. I have enjoyed the previous books in the series but this one I found a little boring with the selection and political intrigues. I guess that the story in the background are going to slow and the side-quests (which were the selection in this one) were too long. The ending did have a nice pace and I was a little disappointed that there isn’t a next book to pick up.

I stumbled on The Spy and I while placing a book order. It was a pleasant read, not everyday we have a tech savvy main character. Some of the things she were doing though were a bit of a stretch, it doesn’t really hold up for close inspection, but I appreciate what it was trying to do. I was hoping for a little more. I think this could be a good romantic comedy movie, but for the book form I didn’t think we got enough substance to the relationship to really make them feel plausible. It was a fun read.
