Holes

Holes – Louis Sachar

Original title: Holes

I give this book 5 stars out of 5 possible.

Stanley Yelnats has bad luck. All because his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather. Stanley got blamed for stealing a pair of shoes and sent to a boys’ detention center, Camp Green Lake. Everyone on the camp have to dig a hole, five feet wide and five feet deep, each day in the blazing sun. The question is; what’s so important to find in the up-dried lake?

I’ve read this book once before but in Swedish. I liked it then but liked it more this time when I read it in English. When you read something in the original language it’s often much better than after a translation.

About Yrsha

I love reading, writing and sending letters and postcards. I have (too) many plants and enjoy being out in the forest.
