Beka Cooper is a puppy, she is training to become a Dog. Dogs are the ones keeping order in the city. To become a Dog she has to be mentored by a couple of Dogs. She gets Goodwin and Tunsall, the best ones. People in the lower city are kidnapped. Beka can’t but help to get inte the middle of things.

Terrier is the first in a series. The second and third books are called Bloodhound and Mastiff.

At first, I was a bit uncertain about this book, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the way it’s written. Now, I don’t think it could be written in an other way. I really like this book. It’s different from other books and it’s great. This story is places before The Song of the Lioness and The Immortals. It’s fun how her books are in the same world and how the characters know each others. Definitely worth reading if you like fantasy.
