Ellie and her friends travel into the bush for a camp but when they return to their home in Wirrawee everything has changed, a war has started. Everyone has been captured and taken to the showgrounds and Elle and her friends want to put things back to the way they were.
I decided to read this book after watching the movie knowing that the books are always better. John Marsden is an exelent writer and understands the way a teenagers mind works. Also the setting is in Australia making it even easer for me to relate to and understand, I highly recommend these books to any reader.
