Queen of Babble

Queen of Babble – Meg Cabot

Original title: Queen of Babble (2006)

Series: Queen of Babble #1

Other books in this series: Queen of Babble in the Big City, Queen of Babble Gets Hitched

It was like being inside someones head. Someone who talks a lot. It took a few pages (about 100) before I could decide whether I liked this book or not.

What do I think of Lizzie, the main character? Well, she does not seem to be able to keep anything for herself. Because of this, she does not appear very bright. I am not saying that people who talk a lot are not smart. It is just, we get to spend a lot of time in her head and get to read everything she is thinking. Which is a lot. She is going to visit her boyfriend in London whom she does not remember what he looks like.

It was in the second part of the book I first started to feel “yes, I think I like this one”.

This is the first book in the Queen of Babble series. I have not decided whether I am going to read the sequel or not. I liked this one, but I think the story should end here. I liked how this book ended.

So, I liked this book, but I had to read about 100 pages before I had made up my mind about it. It was like being inside someone’s head. I was satisfied the ending of this book so I will probably not read the next book.
