The Cookie Book Tag

I have been pending back and forth on whether I should write this post in Swedish or English but settled on English because I found this tag on NightlyReading.

The Rules

  • Other than linking to the person who tagged you (or where you just happened to stumble over the tag), it would be splendid if there is a link back to the original tag post.
  • Pick a book that corresponds to the cookie’s ‘theme’.
  • Have fun!
  • Tag 1-3 people.

The Cookie Books

Chocolate Chip: A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed

I have always liked Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are more classics that would probably fit into this cookie but I chose this one because it is a story that fits everywhere. Whenever I find a book that is a re-telling of Pride and Prejudice I want to read it. The two latest read are Price and Prejudice and Zombies and Eligible.

Thin Mints: A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ AND/OR a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read

I want to read Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. I have heard a lot of good about this book, I hope I will enjoy it as much.

Shortbread: An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of

I was going to say that I recently found the author Erle Stanley Gardner. But that is not really true, I found him for quite some years ago. Buut, I always come back to reading his books. He has written plenty so I still have a couple left to go through.

Samoas/ Caramel DeLites: An Emotional Rollercoaster

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. No comments needed.

Oreos: A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover

Frostblood. The cover is beautiful but the story is a little meh.

Tagalongs/ Peanut Butter Patties: A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected

Night by Ellie. I turned out liking it more than I thought I would.

Snickerdoodles: A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving

Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce. Love it!

Cookie dough: A Book That You Are Waiting For To Be Released

The Exile’s Gift by Tamora Pierce. I just read Tempest and Slaughter (which took forever to get published) and I hope that the publishing date of The Exile’s Gift will not be pushed forward too much.

I tag Maria at Marias bokhylla to do this tag, have fun!
