Dead as a Doornail – Charlaine Harris
Original title: Dead as a Doornail
I give this book 4.5 stars out of 5 possible.
Earlier books in the series: Dead Until Dark, Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead and Dead to the World.
Later books in the series: Definitely Dead, All Together Dead, From Dead to Worse, Dead and Gone, Dead In The Family and Dead Reckoning.
Dead as a Doornail is the fifth book in the series about Sookie Stackhouse. The tv-series True Blood is based on this series.
I think that this series gets better. In this book, there’s a killier running around (again). And it needs to be solved. I love how the characters are built. Even though it’s a bit silly that every non-human guy – or at least a little bit non-human, are attracted to Sookie.
I love the name of this book, and the phrase “Dead as a doornail” is actually used in the book. I like books with humor.
I like the language. I find it quite easy and it doesn’t take that long to read one of the books. But it’s not too easy, it doesn’t feel simple. It’s a big vocabulary and it variates, just as it should. Charlaine Harris does a good job writing these books.
