Anna är av adlig börd från Ryssland. Under den ryska revolutionen förlorar familjen allt och blir tvungna att fly. De tar sig till England och måste där arbeta som många andra. Anna börjar arbeta som hushållerska.

Den här boken var så mysig! Jag älskar mysiga böcker! Översättningen var lite mysko ibland, men det var ingenting man tänkte på i och med att den var så bra. Det här är definitivt en bok jag kommer läsa om.

Runaway is the third and last book about Emerson Watts. The previous books are Airhead and Being Nikki.

I think book was a good ending to this series, even though I think the two previous ones are better.

I like how Meg Cabot always have humour in her books. More Meg Cabot for the people!

I give this book 5 stars out of 5 possible.

Oliver Twist är ett gatubarn i London som från fattighuset hamnar i klorna på Fagin. Fagin är en ökänd som lär upp pojkar till ficktjuvar. När Oliver lyckas smita blir Fagin inte glad.

Jag tycker att Charles Dickens är mycket duktig på att skriva och att översättningen på den här boken är mycket bättre än de allra flesta “tjejböcker”. En klassiker alla borde läsa.

Emma is scared of airplanes. She’s good at having secrets, but when she believes her plain is going to crash she tells a stranger all her secrets. She feels lucky that she’s never going to meet him again. Until he appears on her work – knowing all her secrets.

I love this book! Who doesn’t like Sophie Kinsella’s writing? Definitely worth reading.

Graceling – Kristin Cashore (English)

This is my first post as the new blogger,Vaettr.
(I’m tired so I’m google-translating this into english)

I’m a big fan of fantasy and fanfiction, so that’s what I will write mostly about.
The first book that I’ll write about is Graceling by Kristin Cashore, a book that’s about Katsa, a Graceling, a person with two different eye colors (heterochromia), who has been “graced” at birth with some kind of gift. Some can swim like a fish, other cooks like a god. Katsa though, she is a different story, for her grace is the ability to kill with her bare hands.

In the book we follow Kat and her closest circle in their journey towards self-discovery and friendship. She meets Po, a prince who is also “graced”.

Although the book is not the best I’ve read, it is still quite ok and easy to read.
I’m also planning to read Fire in the same universe and have heard that there will be another book, BitterBlue. Should be interesting. Although I like a bit more detailed fantasy so was Graceling a good read.

Graceling – Kristin Cashore

Första inlägget av den nya bloggaren, mig Vaettr. Jag är ett stort fan av fantasy och fanfiction, så det är det som jag kommer att skriva mest om.

Första boken jag kommer skriva om är Graceling av Kristin Cashore, en bok som handlar om Katsa, en Graceling, en person med två olika ögonfärger (heterochromia), som blivit “graced” vid födseln med någon form av gåva. Vissa kan simma som en fisk, andra lagar mat som en gud. Katsa, hon är en helt annan historia, för hennes grace är förmåga att döda.

I boken följer vi Katsa och hennes närmaste i deras resa mot självupptäckande och vänskap. Hon möter Po, en prince som även han är “graced”.

Även om boken inte är den bästa jag läst är den fortfarande helt ok och lättläst. Ska även läsa Fire inom samma universe och har hört att det kommer ännu en bok, Bitterblue. Ska bli intressant. Även om jag mer gillar lite mer detaljerad fantasy så var Graceling väldigt läsvärd.

Ellie moves to a new town with her parents and goes to a new school. There she meets Will. Will seemes convinced that they’ve met before, even though Ellie is sure they haven’t.

At first, I found Avalon High a little hard to fall into the book, but I liked it when I gave it a try. This book is different to other books by Meg Cabot that I’ve read.

Being Nikki is the second book in a trilogy. The first book is called Airhead and the last book in the series is called Runaway.

What can I say? A good second book to a good first book. Definitely worth reading!

Isn’t everyone dreaming about being a supermodel? Emerson Watts is the victim of an accident. When she wakes up after being in a coma, nothing is ever going to be the same again.

Airhead is the first book in a trilogy. The next two are called Being Nikki and Runaway.

How can you not like this book? I don’t think I’ve read one book by Meg Cabot that I have disliked. Meg Cabot writes with a not so complicated language, without it getting to easy to read them. I love the idea behind this book, what if it happend in real life? Guess you’ll just have to read the book to find out what it really is about.

Skuggkysst

Skuggkysst – Richelle Mead

I give this book 5 stars out of 5 possible.

Tredje boken i serien Vampire Academy. Ibland känner jag mig lite tråkig som inte berättar vad som händer i böckerna, men jag kan inte spoila vad som händer tidigare i serien.

Tidigare böcker i serien är Törst och Fruset blod. De senare böckerna som är översatta heter Löftet och Andens kraft. Den sista boken, Last Sacrifice, släpps översatt till svenska i augusti 2011.

Jag tycker att översättningarna av Vampire Academy har blivit bättre för varje bok, eller så har jag vant mig på översättningen och stör mig inte lika mycket på det som jag gjorde i första boken. När jag började närma mig slutet av Skuggkysst kände jag att jag inte riktigt ville fortsätta läsa, jag visste – eftersom jag läst den tidigare på engelska – vad som skulle hända, men när jag fortsatte kände jag mig rörd. Det var fint, men lite sorgligt. Inte en chans att jag inte läser nästa bok så fort jag kommer över den!
